All business teams operate on 2 levels:  The business level and the team dynamics level.   Team dynamics have a significant influence on business results.   It can either severely harm or significantly elevate performance levels of a team.   Team leaders, however, very often neglect to manage team dynamics and only focus on the business level.   The consequences of neglecting team dynamics can be compared with not servicing a car regularly:  When it breaks down, the damage is often catastrophic and very difficult and expensive to repair.
